Punta Raza

Punta Raza, Nayarit, Mexico – 2019. Punta Raza was supposed to be a major resort development with plans for eight hotels, a golf course, and marina and between 600 and 900 residential units. First announced in 2007 the development to date consists of a road, lots of rock fencing and some landscaping and a restaurant that is sometimes open. We went there to visit a pineapple orchard operated by families from El Monteón where I was on a Habitat for Humanity Global Village build. The road from El Monteón to Punta Raza is a small gravel road that crosses the hills between El Monteón and the coast. At Punta Raza it turns into a two lane divided concrete roadway that goes to nowhere.
